Planting & softening your home adds kerb appeal to the property, therefore value. Tree lined streets have greater value than an area with no planting.

The rule of thumb when adding a parking space is 5 – 10% of the homes value, therefore I understand the desire and need to add parking.  With careful manipulation of space and the addition of softening, both can be achieved.
